Student journalists at Crescent magazine were named as finalists for two Mark of Excellence Awards presented at the SPJ Region 1 Conference in Bristol, R.I. on April 22.
The awards were:
- Crescent magazine staff, finalist for Best Student Magazine
- Luke Molwitz, Crescent magazine, finalist for Sports Photography — “Scoring points on campus“
The awards are presented by the Society of Professional Journalists each spring. The winner in each category goes on to compete in the national Mark of Excellence Awards. Region 1 includes schools from New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
